The Mandalorian debuted on Disney Plus in 2019 and fans immediately fell in love with one character in particular. Known officially as Grogu, he was often referred to by viewers as Baby Yoda. However, while he looks like Yoda, the story is set five years after the Return of the Jedi and follows the quest to capture, or protect, a young toddler from the same alien species as Yoda whom it was believed had a strong connection to the Force. Now, 2022 1 oz Gold Niue Mandalorian Grogu Coins are available to you for purchase online from Silver.com.

In the storyline of The Mandalorian, Din Djarin is hired by remnants of the Galactic Empire to find and retrieve a young child known as Grogu. Din Djarin is a Mandalorian bounty hunter who tends to stick to the outer reaches of the galaxy and works alone in his quest as a galactic bounty hunter.

As the story progresses, Din Djarin ends up becoming the protector of the infant rather than a tool of the Imperial forces. As such, he goes on the run to protect the infant and keep him from falling into the wrong hands.

The obverse of 2022 1 oz Gold Niue Mandalorian Grogu Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The longest-reigning monarch in British history, Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. This effigy was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley.

On the reverse side of the 2022 Gold Niue Mandalorian Grogu Coins is a depiction of The Child. Grogu is referred to by many nicknames throughout the series, with the Empire often referring to him as The Asset, while Din Djarin will refer to him as The Kid. In this design, Grogu is in the arms of his protector.

These 2022 1 oz Gold Niue Mandalorian Grogu Coins are available with capsules and are held in red presentation boxes. The gold coin and box arrive with a Star Wars Mandalorian-themed shipper.
