In 2021, the US Mint issued its first-ever overhaul of a design on the Silver American Eagles. The design debuted midway through the year as part of the 35th-anniversary celebration at the US Mint. The 2021-dated coins were first issued with the original heraldic eagle design and then issued with the all-new bald eagle design for the latter half of the year. Today, certified 2022 1 oz Silver American Eagles are available to you online at Silver.com.

The all-new design on the reverse of 2022 1 oz Silver Eagles comes from Emily Damstra. Her new depiction of the American bald eagle was created in 2020 and submitted to the United States Mint through the Artistic Infusion Program. The design beat out more than 30 other possible designs to represent the Silver Eagle Series for the future.
All of the 2022 1 oz Silver American Eagles in this product listing are near-perfect specimens. Mint State 69 coins are those that have full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Acceptable flaws at this grade level include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines that must be located outside of the primary focal points of the coin. First Strike designations indicate coins that were received for grading within 30 days of release from the US Mint.
On the obverse of 2022 1 oz Silver Eagles is a historic depiction of Lady Liberty. This full-length figure of Lady Liberty is known as Walking Liberty and was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman. The image shows Liberty walking along the horizon toward the sun with her right hand outstretched, her left carrying branches of oak and laurel, and the American flag draped around her figure.
The reverse side of the 2021 Silver American Eagles comes with the image of an American bald eagle. This design shows the bald eagle as it swoops down into view with its wings flexed and its talons clutching a large oak brand, the latter being a symbol of strength and power.
