Silver coins from Perth Mint launched in 1990 with the release of the Silver Kookaburra. Issued annually by Perth Mint with a new reverse design, these coins have been struck each year since 1990. In 2007, the first expansion came in the form of the Silver Koala, a series that adopted the same approach as the Kookaburra by using new reverse designs each year. It would be 2016 before the Silver Kangaroo debuted. The Silver Kangaroo initially stood out as the only coin with .9999 fine silver content, and also with its use of the same design on the reverse each year.

All 2022 1 oz Silver Australian Kangaroos are available to you individually or in bulk. Individual silver coins are available to purchase in protective flips. The coins are also available in bulk with plastic tubes of 25 coins or Monster Boxes of 250 coins. The box holds a total of 10 individual tubes. The Perth Mint will issue these coins with an unlimited mintage, but only until the 2023 coin goes into production.

On the obverse side of 2022 Silver Australian Kangaroos, you will find an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief wearing the George IV State Diadem. This design was created in 2015 by Jody Clark for the Royal Mint and debuted on Australian coins in 2018.

The reverse face of 2022 1 oz Silver Kangaroos features a replica of a historic Australian coin design. From an era before the decimalization of Australian coins, this kangaroo was created by Stuart Devlin for the Copper Penny of Australia.
