The Royal Canadian Mint introduced its Canadian Maple Leaf bullion series in 1979. The collection started as just a 1 oz gold coin before expanding into other gold weights and three other metal options. One of the first metallic options added to the series was the Silver Maple Leaf in 1988. Today, 2022 1 oz Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Monster Boxes are available to you online from Silver.com.

Silver Canadian Maple Leafs were introduced in 1988 as the world’s first-ever .9999 fine silver bullion coin. In 2014, the Royal Canadian Mint added a layer of security against counterfeiting to the design of the coins. That year, the mint added radial lines to both the obverse and reverse background fields. Additionally, it produced a micro-laser engraved maple leaf privy on the reverse of the coins. The textured privy has the last two digits of the date mark, 22, that are visible only under magnification.
All of the 2022 1 oz Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Monster Boxes available here at Silver.com come with a total of 500 individual 2022-dated Silver Maple Leafs. All of the coins in this Monster Box are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The mint-strapped, yellow Monster Boxes come with a total of 20 individual tubes of 25 coins each.
On the obverse side of 2022 Silver Canadian Maple Leafs in the Monster Box, you will find the fourth-generation portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This effigy was designed in 2003 by Susanna Blunt and is the first right-profile effigy of Her Majesty to lack a crown during her reign as Queen of England. Ms. Blunt is just the second Canadian artist ever to create a monarch portrait for national coinage.
The reverse field of 2022 1 oz Silver Maple Leafs within the Monster Box depicts the sugar maple leaf. The national emblem of Canada today, the sugar maple leaf has been used as an emblem for villages, provinces, and early trading companies in Canada since the 18th century.
