The Chinese Myths and Legends series from the Perth Mint continues in 2022, this time featuring the beloved phoenix! Previously the phoenix appeared in the series along with the dragon in a coin from 2017. This new 2022 release marks the first time the phoenix has been featured on its own in the series. Right now, 2022 1 oz Vivid Colorized Silver Australian Chinese Myths and Legends Phoenix Coins are available to you online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins are delivered inside protective plastic capsules!
  • Latest release in the Chinese Myths and Legends series!
  • Mintage limited to just 5,000 silver coins!
  • Vivid colorized details.
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .9999 fine silver.
  • Issued a face value of One Dollar from Australia.
  • The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth II.
  • On the reverse side is colorized phoenix.
  • Designed by Lucas Bowers.

The phoenix is a mythical bird said to have the face of a swallow, the neck of a snake, and the tail of a fish. These birds also have miraculous resurrection capabilities which make them revered, sacred creatures in some cultures. In China, this bird is known as the Fenghuang and has been said to appear when a new emperor prepares for their accession to the throne.

These 2022 Chinese Myths and Legends Phoenix Coins are delivered housed inside protective plastic capsules. These beautiful specimens have been struck in .9999 fine silver. They have also been applied with glorious colorization, which helps accentuate the other-worldly beauty of the Chinese phoenix.

Queen Elizabeth II is depicted on the obverse of these 2022 1 oz Vivid Colorized Silver Phoenix Coins. Her Majesty is seen facing the left and wearing the George IV State Diadem. Below the portrait are the initials J.C., which stand for the portrait’s designer, Jody Clark. Inscriptions along the edges read Elizabeth II, Australia, 1 oz 9999 Ag, 2022, 1 Dollar.

A beautiful phoenix is featured on the reverse field of 2022 Vivid Colorized Phoenix Coins. The feathers of this phoenix feature a broad range of red, green, and blue hues. Also, in its mouth, you’ll note a flower of a paulownia tree, which is reportedly the only species on which this bird will perch. A series of clouds are shown behind the phoenix to further symbolize good fortune. Inscribed on the reverse are the initials L.B., for the designer Lucas Bowers.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
