Compared to other national mints, the Czech Mint is relatively young. Established in 1993 upon the dissolvement of Czech and Slovak Federative Republic into separate states, the mint has gained an excellent reputation for its array of BU and Proof coins, medals, and commemorative sets. In 2017, they launched their most successful enterprise yet: the Czech Lion series. This collection of coins has since seen a new release each year in both gold and silver with a wide range of weights to choose from.

Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse of 2022 10 oz Silver Czech Lion Coins. Her Majesty is seen here in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head. In honor of the Czech coat of arms, a heraldic shield and eagle are also presented on the obverse field. Inscriptions read 25 Dollars, Niue Island, 2022, Elizabeth II.

A crowned lion appears on the reverse side of 2022 Czech Lion Coins. The lion is depicted facing directly at us in a detailed close-up. This alters from previous releases that depicted the lion in full-frame guarding the Crown of Saint Wenceslas. Here, the lion wears the crown instead. Along the side are Linden branches and below there are inscriptions that read Ceska Republika. You will also find the coin’s weight and purity listed here.
