The latest coin from The Perth Mint is a dazzling colorized specimen featuring both the dragon and the qilin. These two creatures are revered in Eastern cultures, and when seen together in the same coin design they make quite the impact. In addition to their stunning colorization, these pieces are also augmented with an antique-finished background that beautifully compliments the vivid designs. Today, 2022 2 oz Antique Colorized Silver Tuvalu Dragon and Qilin Coins are available to you online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coin ships to you in a display box with a Certificate of Authenticity!
  • All-new dragon and qilin coin from The Perth Mint!
  • Mintage limited to 888 coins only!
  • Contains Two Troy ounces of .9999 fine silver.
  • Issued a face value of Two Dollars from Tuvalu.
  • The obverse shows a portrait of Elizabeth II.
  • On the reverse side is a depiction of a dragon and qilin.

While its appearances are rare, the sighting of a qilin is believed to mark the arrival of a sage ruler. According to legend, the first qilin sighting occurred in the garden of the Yellow Emperor in 2697 BCE. As such, the qilin, which is essentially the eastern version of the unicorn, is held in great esteem. Similarly, the dragon, with its ability to dictate the weather and provide good fortune, is a revered creature in many Eastern cultures and traditions.

All 2022 2 oz Silver Tuvalu Dragon and Qilin Coins were struck at The Perth Mint and include both colorized and antique visuals. With a high purity of .9999 and a limited mintage of 888, this is a coin that truly does justice to the majestic dragon and qilin. In addition to the coin itself, you will also receive an illustrated shipper, a black display box, and a Certificate of Authenticity from the mint.

The obverse of 2022 Antique Colorized Silver Tuvalu Dragon and Qilin Coins features a bust of Queen Elizabeth II. Here we see Her Majesty facing right and wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, which was a wedding gift from Queen Mary in 1947. There are also obverse inscriptions reading Queen Elizabeth II, Tuvalu, 2 Dollars, 2022, 2 oz .9999 Silver.

On the reverse face of 2022 Antique Colorized Tuvalu Dragon and Qilin Coins are depictions of both the dragon and the qilin. The dragon, with its long, twisting body is shown on the left, while the qilin with its mighty horns is showcased on the right side. Each of these classic mythical creatures is presented in full color against an antique finished background.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
