In 2017, one of the first Silver Krugerrands issued by the South African Mint and the Rand Refinery was the Proof Silver Krugerrand. The coin issued that year was a 1 oz proof, with the 2 oz proof offered first issued in 2020. Both coins have proven immensely popular with collectors and are available each year alongside the 1 oz BU version of the coin that has been issued since 2018.
