The Perth Mint has a history of creating some of the most coveted and beautiful bullion coins known in the modern era. From its Kookaburra and Koala Series to the Kangaroo, Wedge Tail Eagle, Emu, and its countless other commemorative coins, Perth Mint is a true innovator. In that regard, Perth Mint has a new Silver Australian Kangaroo issue in 2022 that is a must-have item. Now, 2022 2 oz Silver Australian Kangaroo Coins are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com with a reverse-gilded layer.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ship to you in a black display from Perth Mint with an included shipper and numbered Certificate of Authenticity!
  • First-ever reverse-gilded layer on a Perth coin!
  • 24-karat gold layering!
  • Mintage limited to 3,000 coins only!
  • Consists of Two Troy ounce of .9999 fine silver.
  • Issued a face value of $2 (AUD) by Australia.
  • Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse.
  • Two kangaroos are bounding across the reverse design.

The Australian Kangaroo is one of Australia’s most coveted design concepts. Differing versions of the Australian Kangaroo are issued annually by the Perth Mint and the Royal Australian Mint as a celebration of the iconic national symbol of the Commonwealth of Australia.

At the Perth Mint, Australian Kangaroos were first issued in 1989. The longest-running options in this realm are the BU Gold Kangaroo Series and the Proof Silver Kangaroo Series. However, the modern era has seen advancement in this area as a BU Silver Kangaroo debuted in 2016 and a BU Platinum Kangaroo in 2018.

Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse of all 2022 2 oz Silver Australian Kangaroo Reverse Gilded Coins. This design shows the Queen at the age of 89 in right-profile relief as she wears the George IV State Diadem Crown. In this design, it is the portrait of the Queen that remains in vibrant silver with a 24-karat gold layer throughout the background field.

Two bounding kangaroos are shown in the reverse design of the 2022 Silver Australian Kangaroo Reverse Gilded Coin. The same design present on the 2022 BU Gold Kangaroos, this image shows a younger joey bounding in the background with a larger adult in the foreground. As with the other side of the coin, only the figure in the immediate foreground has the gilded gold layer.

These 2022 2 oz Silver Australian Kangaroo Reverse Gilded Coins are available to you in classic, black display cases from the Perth Mint with a clear lid on the case. The coin and case arrive in a themed shipper with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
