The Perth Mint’s continuation of its Simpsons-themed silver for sale enters 2022 with a new high-relief design featuring Bart Simpson. The eldest child and only son of Homer and Marge Simpson, Bart is the quintessential slacker and troublemaker. Always up for a good time and a little bit of trouble, Bart showcases his mischievous side in this design. Now, 2022 2 oz Silver Tuvalu Bart Simpson High Relief Coins are available to you for purchase online from Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ships to you in Perth Mint clear displays with a themed shipper and a Certificate of Authenticity included!
  • High-relief visuals!
  • Mintage limited to 3,000 coins only!
  • Consists of Two Troy ounces of .9999 fine silver.
  • Issued a face value of Two dollars by Tuvalu.
  • The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II.
  • On the reverse is an image of Bart Simpson.

Like many children, Bart is only addressed by his full name when he is in trouble. Given his status as a bad boy, fans of the series are no doubt familiar with his full name of Bartholomew J. Simpson given the amount of time Bart spends in detention and generally getting in trouble around Springfield.

What many people may not know is what the J stands for in Bartholomew J. Simpson. While his father’s search for his full middle name beyond the initial J comically ended in Homer learning his middle name was Jay, Bart has a less conventional middle name. That J in Bartholomew J. Simpson actually stands for JoJo.

The obverse of 2022 2 oz Silver Tuvalu Bart Simpson Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. England’s longest-reigning monarch is shown in this fourth-generation design from the Royal Mint wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The effigy was designed in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley.

On the reverse side of 2022 Silver Bart Simpson Coins is an image of Bart. He is shown with his hands at his ears as he sticks his tongue out at you. Series creator and cartoonist Matt Groening famously came up with the name and image for Bart while waiting in the lobby of James L. Brooks’ office before a meeting about a comic strip. Bart is, fittingly, an anagram for brat.

These 2022 2 oz Silver Tuvalu Bart Simpson High Relief Coins come in a clear, acrylic display from Perth Mint that is housed in a themed shipper. This black shipping box has white-stencil artwork featuring various characters from The Simpsons. A Certificate of Authenticity is available with your purchase. The high-relief strike of these coins delivers improved 3D visuals on the designs and visual depth for the background field.
