The Year of the Tiger comes in 2022 and celebrates one of the most revered creatures in Chinese culture. Behind the Chinese dragon, the tiger is widely viewed as the most powerful beast in Chinese culture. Year of the Tiger designs are available on a range of bullion coins and bars, as well as legal tender notes that have been enhanced with colorized graphics after printing. Now, 2022 $2 Year of the Tiger Golden Hologram Tigers Legal Tender Notes with 88 serial numbers are available to you for purchase online from Silver.com.

Note Highlights:

  • Notes ship to you in presentation folios!
  • Colorized graphics applied to the obverse!
  • Each note has 88 in the serial number!
  • Issued a face value of $2 (USD) by the United States.
  • The obverse features President Thomas Jefferson and hologram tigers.
  • On the reverse is a portrait of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
  • Real legal tender notes!

Those born under the sign of the tiger are said to be brave and courageous. The tiger represents the third year in the 12-year cycle of the Zodiac. Each animal in the Zodiac appears in the same order each time through, with the Year of the Mouse always first and the Year of the Pig always 12th. After the Year of the Pig, the cycle resets.

Countless designs celebrating the Year of the Tiger are available throughout 2022. One of the more unique options that make an affordable gift for those born during the Year of the Tiger is collectible legal tender notes with enhanced graphics. The $2 Federal Reserve Note is a popular medium for this as the bills are produced in great numbers, but experience low circulation use.

The obverse of 2022 $2 Year of the Tiger Golden Hologram Tigers Legal Tender Note is a depiction of President Thomas Jefferson at the center. His portrait is backed by red colorization in the porthole portrait field and includes shades of yellow, orange, and red throughout the rest of the background. The notes have golden hologram tigers on each side of President Jefferson, with serial numbers that all feature an 88 somewhere in the number.

On the reverse of 2022 Year of the Tiger Golden Hologram Tigers is the portrait of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. John Trumbull was commissioned to create this portrait in 1817 and completed the work in 1818. It has been on the reverse of $2 Federal Reserve Notes since 1976.

These 2022 $2 Year of the Tiger Golden Hologram Tigers Legal Tender Notes are available to you in presentation folios. The bills are actual $2 Federal Reserve Notes from the Treasury that have been enhanced with colorized graphics on the obverse to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. Each note also features an 88 in the serial number, a special feature given the number 8 is lucky in Chinese culture.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required to collect sales tax in certain states. You can review your states sales tax policy here: https://www.silver.com/taxes. You should always consult with a tax adviser for specific advice in your area.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
