  • Reverse is a miniature sculpture of Zeus sitting on his throne on Mount Olympus.

The Spiritual Art series presents a fresh take on traditional representations of Zeus with the 2022 Silver Cook Islands Spiritual Art Zeus Father of the Gods Coin. An exquisitely detailed and ultra high-relief piece of gilded numismatic art, it ships in a windowed case for easy display in your collection, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity that verifies your coin’s unique number in an exclusive limited mintage.

The coin’s inspiration is the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, created by the famous sculptor Phidias in the 5th century BC and counted among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The original statue showed Zeus draped in naturalistic robes and seated on his throne as the king of the gods at Mount Olympus, and even though it was destroyed centuries later, its legacy persisted for subsequent generations in second-hand descriptions and depictions.

The sculpture comprising the reverse side of this coin is inspired by those descriptions, showing an enthroned and sternly majestic Zeus bearing a scepter in one hand and a brace of thunderbolts in the other. Its fine details and decorations provide an interpretation of the most famous historical descriptions of the original ancient statue.

The obverse side carries an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II that confirms it as legal tender of the Cook Islands despite its unusual shape. That effigy is surrounded and framed by geometric designs showing fluted Greek pillars below, and is joined by the inscriptions “Elizabeth II,” “Cook Islands,” and “20 Dollars.”

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
