Armenian Noah’s Ark Coins are available from Geiger Edelmetalle, with the German mint producing the coins on an annual basis with the authorization of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, which backs the coins as legal tender bullion. The series features both gold and silver coins as of 2020, with four gold weights added alongside the seven silver weights in 2020.

On the obverse of 2022 Silver Noah’s Ark Coins is an image of the national coat of arms. The Armenian coat of arms comes with the design of a quartered shield. This shield features images of heraldic eagles and lions in each of the quadrants, with connections to both the ancient Kingdom of Armenia and the nation’s time as a Soviet republic in the 20th century. The center of shield has a smaller shield with Noah’s ark on it. The larger shield is supported by a heraldic eagle on the left and the heraldic lion on the right.
The reverse side of the 2022 5 Kilo Silver Noah’s Ark Coin comes with Eduard Kurghinyan’s vision of Noah’s ark. The design builds on biblical accounts of the ark’s shape and size, and depicts the ark resting on the floodwaters God has sent to cleanse the world. The sun rises over Mount Ararat in the background field, with a dove in the foreground carrying an olive branch in its beak.
