Get to know the world-famous Gold Maple Leaf – a gold coin that people everywhere love. Back in 1979, it did something amazing by being the first gold coin with 24-karat gold that regular folks could own. At that time, there weren’t many ways to buy gold, but this coin changed all that. In 2024, the Royal Canadian Mint celebrates its 45th birthday with a special set of four coins. And guess what? You can own the 2024 Reverse Proof Gold Canadian 45th Anniversary Maple Leaf 4-Coin Set, available on Silver.com.

Coin Set Highlights:

  • Arrives in a red box from the Royal Canadian Mint!
  • You’ll get four special Gold Maple Leaf coins, each with a different size!
  • It shows off the famous maple leaf design and the original picture of Queen Elizabeth II!
  • There are only 450 sets available!
  • Consists of a total of 1.40 ounces of .9999 fine gold.
  • Each coin has a value in Canadian dollars (CAD).
  • The front side has a picture of Queen Elizabeth II, just like the very first Gold Maple Leaf.
  • On the back, you’ll see two maple leaves on one stem.

The 2024 Reverse Proof Gold Canadian 45th Anniversary Maple Leaf 4-Coin Set is really special. You’re getting four different Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coins: a 1 oz coin, a 1/4 oz coin, a 1/10 oz coin, and a 1/20 oz coin. All of them come in a neat red box from the Royal Canadian Mint. These coins are made in a way called “reverse-proof,” which makes their designs shiny while the background looks a bit frosty.

Back in 1979, when the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf first appeared, it was just in the 1 oz size, and it was made of super pure gold, like .999 gold. At that time, there was really only one other choice for people who wanted to own gold, and that was the South African Gold Krugerrand Coin. In this special set, you’ll find the very first picture of Queen Elizabeth II on the front.

On the front of each 2024 Reverse Proof Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coin in this set, you’ll see a picture of Queen Elizabeth II when she was younger. She’s wearing a special crown called the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. An artist named Arnold Machin made this picture in 1965, and it’s the second picture of the Queen used on coins during her time as queen. Here’s a fun fact – this picture was the last one made by a British artist for Canadian coins.

On the back of the 2024 Reverse Proof Gold Maple Leaf coins, there’s a really neat design with two maple leaves connected by a stem. The 1 oz coin in this set has an extra touch – it has a teardrop-shaped sapphire on it. And don’t miss the years 1979 and 2024 on the back.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
