In 2026, the American Gold Eagle reaches a 40-year milestone as one of the best-known gold bullion choices from the United States Mint. First released in 1986, the series was introduced with four weight options so buyers could select a size that matched their needs. The set includes a 1 oz coin and three fractional sizes, and the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle has earned a reputation as the most popular fractional issue. All American Gold Eagles are struck in 22-karat gold and contain 91.67% gold by weight. Right now, 2026 1/10 oz Gold American Eagle Coins in certified condition are available from Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Arrives in an individual protective slab!
  • 40th-anniversary release of Gold Eagles!
  • Limited availability of certified perfect coins!
  • Consists of one-tenth troy ounce of actual gold content.
  • Bears a face value of $5 (USD) backed by the federal government.

  • First Day of Issue.
  • Obverse features a bust of Lady Liberty.
  • Reverse captures the might of the American bald eagle.

Each 2026 1/10 oz Gold American Eagle Coin available here comes certified as a perfect specimen. An MS70 grade means the coin shows complete mint shine and no visible surface issues that would affect its look. The First Day of Issue designation applies to coins that are delivered for grading within 24 hours of their official release from the mint.

The 1/10 oz Gold Eagle has maintained a steady presence in the bullion lineup since 1986, with continuous annual mintages. This long-running consistency points to dependable demand from collectors and investors who value fractional gold for its lower cost, easy storage, and versatility in a balanced portfolio. The 1/10 oz coin is also historically important in the series, as it is the only size besides the 1 oz to ever surpass the main coin’s annual mintage. It holds the program’s single-year high at 2.75 million coins, achieved in 1999.

The obverse of the 2026 Gold American Eagle displays Lady Liberty in Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ timeless 1907 design. Liberty appears full-length and front-facing, stepping forward toward the viewer. She holds a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left to represent vision and peace. The U.S. Capitol is shown in the distance, sunlight rises behind her, and a ring of stars frames the outer edge.

On the reverse of the 2026 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coin is the current bald eagle portrait introduced in 2021 as part of the series’ 35th anniversary changes. Created by artist Jennie Norris, the design presents a detailed left-profile close-up of the eagle’s head.

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
