In 2026, the United States Mint highlights two anniversary years tied to its most widely collected bullion coin programs. The American Eagle series celebrates 40 years, and the American Gold Buffalo reaches its 20th anniversary. First issued in 2006, the Gold Buffalo is still the Mint’s only 24-karat gold coin released on an annual basis. Currently, 2026 1 oz Gold American Buffalo Coins in certified condition are available online from Silver.com.

The obverse of 2026 1 oz Gold Buffalo Coins depicts an indigenous figure in right-profile relief. The design is known for its careful detail, including the braided hair and the feather placed within the braid. Sculptor James Earle Fraser first introduced this portrait in 1913 for the Buffalo Nickel. It has remained one of the most recognizable classic portraits in American coinage and is often mentioned for its more natural and respectful appearance.

The reverse of 2026 Gold American Buffalo Coins presents an American bison in left-profile relief. Fraser created this design for the Buffalo Nickel as well, showing the bison standing on a small patch of ground with a strong build and a steady stance. The bison is believed to have been inspired by Black Diamond, a well-known bison that lived at the Central Park Zoo in New York City during the early twentieth century.

Since its debut in 2006, the American Gold Buffalo has stayed in regular production and is a favored choice for those seeking 24-karat gold from the US Mint. It is often selected as an alternative to the Gold Eagle by buyers who place purity first. The Gold Eagle is struck using an alloy that includes silver and copper for added strength, while the Gold Buffalo’s .9999 fine gold content appeals to buyers who prefer pure gold, including many international investors.

These 2026 1 oz Gold American Buffalo Coins are available here as perfect certified coins. MS70 coins retain full, original mint luster and have no visible imperfections. First Strike coins are those that PCGS receives for grading within 30 days of the coin’s release from the mint.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

In addition, all VISA and MasterCard orders undergo an additional step of user authentication - the respective Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode programs. Upon completing checkout with a VISA or MasterCard credit/debit card, you may be promoted for additional details to confirm your identity and protect our customers against credit card fraud.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
