The obverse of the 2026-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle Coin features Adolph A. Weinman’s well-known Walking Liberty design. Liberty is shown stepping forward toward the sun, which rises along the horizon. Draped in the American flag, she reaches outward with her right hand and carries branches of oak and laurel in her left. This anniversary edition includes the America250 Liberty Bell privy mark and the dual-date inscription commemorating the nation’s founding and 250th year.
On the reverse of the 2026-W Proof Silver American Eagle is Emily Damstra’s image of the American bald eagle. The eagle is depicted in a descending flight pattern, with its wings raised and its gaze focused forward. A solid oak branch is held firmly in its talons, reinforcing traditional themes of strength and resilience. This reverse design has been in use since 2021.
The 2010s were a period of change for Proof Silver Eagle production, with the U.S. Mint introducing new variations and special releases. Anniversary issues and reverse proof coins added interest for collectors, while mintages varied throughout the decade. The 25th anniversary release in 2011 drew significant attention, and later years generally saw lower production levels. The “W” mint mark from the West Point Mint became a consistent feature on proof issues during this time.
These 2026-W 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagle Coins are available in near-perfect certified condition. PF69 coins show full mint luster with only minor imperfections, such as tiny hairlines or contact marks outside key design areas. UCAM refers to ultra-cameo contrast, highlighting frosted designs against deeply mirrored fields. Early Release indicates the coin was submitted for grading within 30 days of its release from the mint.
