These include the long-running 1 oz gold coin, as well as the fractional weights of 1/2, 1/4, 1/10, and 1/20 oz. The smallest coin in the series joined the collection in 2014. That coin is the 1 Gram Gold Canadian Maple Leaf. The Royal Canadian Mint offers it individually and in this special Gold MapleGram.

The obverse side of the Gold Canadian Maple Leaf coins in the Gold MapleGram all feature the right-profile bust of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fourth effigy of Her Majesty on Canadian coins during her long reign and it was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt. She is just the second Canadian artist ever to design a monarch’s portrait for national coinage.
On the reverse of each 25 Gram Gold Canadian MapleGram is the image of the sugar maple leaf. This design was originally created by Walter Ott in 1979 for the Gold Maple Leaf’s debut. Both sides of the coin have radial lines in the background field.
