Fortuna was known during the period of Ancient Rome as the goddess of fortune and a personification of luck in Roman religion. Her figure was often depicted using symbols such as the globe, wheel, wreath, and cornucopia. Her face is often covered entirely with a veil or her eyes blindfolded.
On the obverse of the 250 Gram Gold PAMP Suisse Fortuna Bar is the image of Fortuna made famous on PAMP’s precious metal bars. She is depicted in left-profile relief with a blindfold over her eyes, a cornucopia of riches winding down from her head, and her hands clutched at the bottom to catch the wealth flowing forth.
The reverse of all Gold PAMP Suisse Bars includes a variety of engravings. At the top is the PAMP Suisse logo, which consists of four staggered circles with “PAMP” spelled out within, and “Suisse” below. Additional engravings include, descending down the bar, the weight, metal content, and purity. You’ll also find an Assayer’s mark and the individual serial number of the bar consisting of a one-letter, six-number format.
