At birth, the human skeletal system consists of a total of 270 bones in total. As you age, many smaller systems within the skeletal framework fuse together to form larger, stronger bone structures. By the time your body has completed this process in its entirety, the number of bones in your body has shrunk to 206 bones, on average.
Monarch Precious Metals captures the human skeleton in its full glory with the new 3 oz Silver Monarch Skeleton Bar. These unique products feature an overall shape reminiscent of a coffin, with the human skeleton emerging from the surface of the obverse side. As with all other Monarch Precious Metal products, these bars are hand-poured and hand-stamped with markings.
On the obverse of the bar is the image of a human skeleton as it lays on the floor of a shape that appears to resemble a coffin. There are no text engravings on this side, only the image of the major skeletal structures of the human body such as the knee, elbow, and ankle joints, as well as the skull and ribcage.
The reverse of the bar has engravings of the weight, purity, and metal content of the bar. You’ll also find the year of issue stamped on the bars as “2016,” with the Monarch Precious Metals crown logo also visible.
Monarch Precious Metals is a private minting facility located in the southeastern corner of Oregon’s Rogue Valley. The mint refines all of its precious metal gold and silver bars with a minimum purity of .999, and hand-pours every product. Each of these products has an antique finish, which adds warmth and subtle accents to the overall detail of the design.
