The 5 oz Silver Scottsdale Stacker Round features unique design elements that make it easy for these rounds to securely stack on one another. Each round has alternating raised lips in the radial line design along its edge, providing an interlocking surface when stacking the rounds.
Each round is finished with a high-relief striking of the mint logo on the obverse face, and an inverse finish of the same design on the reverse. This makes it possible for the logo design from the obverse of one of the silver rounds to sink into the reverse design field of another when stacked together.
On the obverse of the 5 oz Silver Scottsdale Stacker Round you’ll find the image of the Scottsdale Mint’s logo. The mint seal is dominated by the large, stoic face of a male lion wearing a crown. This face of the round has a 3D finish that makes the lion’s head appear to jump off the surface.
The reverse side of the round features the same logo image, but this time it is finished in a concave manner so the obverse design can fit within the same field when the rounds are stacked. Engravings on this face include “5 Troy Oz 999 Fine Silver Scottsdale Mint” and “5 Troy Oz 999 Fine Silver Stacker Round.”
