The third release of the Amy Brown Collection follows the artwork of the famed fairy artist. Brown got her start in the most humble of settings. Working for a small, local art gallery she was asked by the gallery manager to fill an open frame on the wall with her own artwork. Among her first fairy works, the piece sold almost immediately.
On the obverse of the 5 oz Proof Silver Amy Brown Collection Second Cousins Round is the Second Cousins design. The Second Cousins image features two small fairies on the rock in the middle of a pond. The two look as though they could be family, but perhaps just distant cousins as one has the wings of a fairy and the other the body of a mermaid.
The reverse of Amy Brown Collection Rounds share a common design theme. This side of all rounds in the series feature the image of Dusk. The fairy known as Dusk was created by Brown in 2003. She is depicted sitting on the edge of a cliff with her large, birdlike wings perked up behind her figure ready to spring into flight at a moment’s notice.
