Purchasing 90% silver coins is an affordable and ideal option for those looking to increase silver holdings. Coins such as the US dime, quarter, half dollar, and dollar issued prior to 1965 have 90% silver content and 10% copper, making the coins an affordable choice for anyone buying silver. Now, 90% Silver Barber Dimes with a total $1 Face Value are available to purchase online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ship to you inside of a protective bag!
  • Range of dates runs from 1892 to 1916!
  • Consists of .07234 Troy ounces of actual silver content per coin.
  • Issued a face value of $.10 (USD) per coin by the United States.
  • The obverse features Liberty.
  • On the reverse is the denomination with a wreath.
  • Please keep in mind you could receive a wide variety of date marks in your roll.

The Barber Coinage debuted in 1892 with fresh designs for the US dime, quarter, and half-dollar coins. In each case, the Barber Coinage design replaced the popular and long-running Seated Liberty image that had been on various US denominations since 1837 when Christian Gobrecht designed the Seated Liberty image for the Philadelphia Mint.

US Mint Chief Engraver Charles E. Barber, son of the former US Mint Chief Engraver William Barber, designed the designs for the dime, quarter, and half dollar in 1892. His series used the same right-profile bust of Liberty on the obverse of all three denominations, while the dime was alone in the use of a reverse design that included only the denomination and a wreath.

The obverse side of the 90% Silver Barber Dimes includes the image of Lady Liberty. This right-profile bust shows Liberty with a wreath crown on her head and short hair up in a cap. The bust of Liberty that Barber created is one of the more masculine effigies of Liberty ever featured on US coins. Inscriptions on this side of the coin include only the nation of issue and the date mark.

On the reverse face of 90% Silver Barber Dimes, you will find the denomination inscribed in the center of the field as “One Dime,” with a wreath around it. The Denver Mint, New Orleans Mint, San Francisco Mint, and Philadelphia Mint all produced the Barber Dimes during the production history of the coin. However, only the Denver, New Orleans, and San Francisco Mints used a mint mark on the reverse below the wreath. These consisted of, in order, “D,” “O,” and “S” mint marks.

These 90% Silver Barber Dimes are available with a total face value of $1 (USD). The coins are available to you with 10 US dimes in total and feature varying date marks or the potential for all coins to have the same date marks. Each coin is in average circulated condition, indicating the coins have average levels of wear and tear with diminished visuals as a result of use in circulation.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
