Right now, Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Coins are available to purchase online at Silver.com.

  • Reverse features the sugar maple leaf design.
  • These coins come in uncirculated condition, which can include items with toning, milk spots, or slight contact marks.

Each of the Silver Canadian Maple Leaf coins in this listing is available to you from varied years of production. The coins were introduced in 1988 by the Royal Canadian Mint, meaning you could receive a coin dated anywhere from the 1988 inaugural issue to the most recent year of release available.

The specific coin you receive will be determined by Silver.com when you place your order and it is processed for shipping. As we prepare to ship your Silver Canadian Maple Leaf, an individual coin or coins will be chosen from our stock on hand. We cannot guarantee a particular year of issue for your purchase.

Silver Canadian Maple Leaf coins all feature the same reverse designs, with little exception. The sugar maple leaf is featured in the center of the design field, with engravings around its shape of the nation of issue, purity, metal content, and weight of the coin. Silver Maple Leafs struck from 2014 onward have a micro-engraved maple leaf privy on this face for added security, as well as radial lines.

The obverse of all Silver Canadian Maple Leaf coins have an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. However, the specific year of issue you receive will determine the exact right-profile portrait of Her Majesty featured on the design. The 1988 and 1989 Silver Maple Leafs feature the second-generation portrait of Queen Elizabeth II used on Canadian coinage from 1965 to 1989.

All coins struck between 1990 and 2002 have the third-generation portrait of Her Majesty created by Canadian artist Dora de Pedery-Hunt. It captures the Queen at age 64 and was the first design completed by a Canadian artist. Silver Canadian Maple Leaf coins produced from 2003 onward feature the fourth-generation portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Created by Susanna Blunt, another Canadian artist, it is the first portrait of a monarch on Canadian coinage without a crown since Elizabeth II’s father King George VI (1937-1952).

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
