The Silver Canadian Maple Leaf is one of the longest-running silver bullion coin programs in the world at this time. First introduced almost 30 years ago, the series is noted for its impressive purity and consistent designs over the course of three decades in production. In this unique product listing, Silver.com offers Silver Canadian Maple Leaf coins in varied years for investors.

Coin Highlights:

  • Ships to you in a protective flip!
  • Consists of one troy ounce of .9999 fine silver.
  • Bears a face value of $5 (CAD) backed by the Canadian government.
  • Features the sugar maple leaf on the reverse side.
  • Various images of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
  • Coins are in cull condition with cosmetic flaws and/or structural defects.
  • Please note the coins come from random years of issue and you may receive matching dates if you buy more than one.

These 1 oz Silver Canadian Maple Leafs are offered in cull condition. Coins in this condition come with a range of cosmetic flaws and structural defects. These include issues such as holes, scratches, retooling marks, pitting, dark toning, and even bends. We do not guarantee a specific date, condition, or obverse design in advance. All coins are chosen at random after your payment clears.

As a Commonwealth nation, Canada’s coinage always features the image of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. As a living monarch with the longest reign in British history, her portrait is occasionally updated to reflect her age at different periods during her reign. The Silver Canadian Maple Leaf was first issued in 1988, and three images of Her Majesty have appeared on coins as a result.

Since this product listing offers Silver Canadian Maple Leaf coins from varied years of issue, it is possible you’ll receive a coin with one of three portraits of Queen Elizabeth II. Coins issued in 1988 and 1989 feature Arnold Machin’s first-generation portrait. Those issued from 1990 to 2003 feature Dora de Pedery-Hunt’s second-generation portrait. All coins struck after 2004 bear Susanna Blunt’s third-generation image.

On the reverse side of all coins in this product listing, you’ll find the sugar maple leaf in the center of the design. “Canada” is engraved above the design, with the purity listed on either side, while the weight and metal content are engraved below. Coins struck after 2014 feature new security details. Most notably, micro-laser engraved radial lines on both sides, and a maple leaf image on the reverse that shows the year of issue under 15-times magnification.

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
