Please be aware that these particular Morgan Dollars are offered as an “any year” product and as such the item you receive will be from 1878-1904. The coins are picked by our staff based on our current inventory selection and each has been assessed by the NGC as being in MS64 condition. The year of the coin you receive will be picked by our staff after your order is placed and cannot be guaranteed prior to ordering. Whichever mint year you receive, you are guaranteed to receive a coin that has been certified as MS65 by the NGC.

The Morgan Dollar was the first silver dollar to be produced by the United States Mint after the Coinage Act of 1873, when the new gold standard caused silver to decrease in value. The coin enjoyed a brief 25 year mintage from 1878 to 1904 with one more year of production in 1921. Because its mintage predates the cessation of silver coinage, the Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the few existing pieces of currency to contain any genuine silver in its composition. All Morgan Silver Dollars were produced from .77344 troy oz. of 90% pure silver.

Each of these particular silver dollars has been designated with an MS64 grade by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. Coins assigned an MS64 grade are still in a mint state while they may show slight signs of wear such as minor hairline and contact marks. To maintain each coins integrity, they have been individually sealed in their certified NGC slab.

George T. Morgan, the designer and namesake for this coin, strived for realism in the coin’s artwork. For instance, rather than following the previous classical renditions of Lady Liberty, Morgan based her on a real life model. The result was a beautiful, less idealized woman with her hair styled in loose curls. There were, however, some classical elements that he kept, such as the laurel leaves, pileus and engraved headband. The phrase “E Pluribus Unum” encircles her along with the mintage date and thirteen stars in honor of the original colonies.

To continue his pursuit of realistic images, Morgan also studied eagles in the wild for the back artwork of his coin. The image features a spread winged eagle with its talons clasping an olive branch and a set of arrows. Upon closer look, viewers will note the realistic details of its feathers as well as the accurate depiction of its neck and wing position. Surrounding the bird is an open wreath, while above it sits the “In God We trust” motto. Our nation’s name and the coin’s mintage date appear near the coin’s outer edge.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Upon completing checkout with a VISA or MasterCard credit/debit card, you may be promoted for additional details to confirm your identity and protect our customers against credit card fraud.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
