Please be aware that these particular Peace Dollars are offered as an “any year” product and as such the item you receive will be from either 1921-1928 OR 1934-1935. The coins are picked by our staff based on our current inventory selection and each has been assessed by the NGC as being in MS63 condition.

The Peace Silver Dollar experienced a brief 9 year mintage period from 1921 to 1928 and for another 2 sequential years from 1934 to 1935. It was the last actual “silver” dollar to be produced by the United States Mint prior to the discontinuation of silver coin production in the mid 1960’s. Each coin was composed from .77344 troy oz. of 90% pure silver.

Every Peace Silver Dollar included in this collection has been carefully examined by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation and received an MS63 grade. This particular grade indicates that the coin is in a mint state condition despite its small signs of evident wear. Such signs of wear include a diminished luster and the presence of multiple marks.

The artwork displayed on the Peace silver dollar was the results of a contest, in which the winning entry would become the coin’s new design. As with previous silver dollars, the winning entry featured Lady Liberty on the front of the coin. With her “radiate” or multiple pointed crown and her stray strands of hair blowing in the wind, this depiction closely mimics the real life Statue of Liberty. The words “In God We Trust” are inscribed behind her in the background, while her name and the mintage year are depicted above and below her, respectively.

The central design element for the reverse sign of the coin is a bald eagle perched upon an olive branch and stone, which bears the word peace across it. Viewers will note that the pointed crown pattern repeats itself on the back with the beaming rays of sunlight that emanate from behind the eagle. Also in the background is the coin’s denomination. At the top of the design are our nation’s name and the phrase “E Pluribus Unum” appearing in an arched formation.

With its patriotic motif and its historical significance, this Peace Silver Dollar is certain to become a cherished collectible for years to come.
