Currently there is no statewide sales tax in effect in the State of Alaska. However, certain boroughs in Alaska have now enacted sales tax collection and remittance at the local borough level. These boroughs require Silver.com to collect sales taxes on all products sold by Silver.com and delivered to an address within these Alaska boroughs.
Sales taxes in the affected Alaska boroughs are calculated at checkout on the Silver.com website based on (1) the taxability of products sold by Silver.com in Alaska set forth above, and (2) the specific tax rates established by the taxing jurisdiction of the delivery address in Alaska
Silver.com began collecting sales taxes in the affected Alaska boroughs on February 1, 2022. Our sales tax license number in Alaska is 005948.
