As you shop gold bars for sale at Silver.com, you will find there is a wide range of product types, weights, and producers. One of the oldest producers of gold bullion bars is Engelhard, a former Fortune 500 company located in New Jersey that was bought out in 2006. From the 1970s to 2006, Engelhard produced some of the most sought-after gold bullion bars. Investors can still turn to this brand nearly two decades after its closure as Engelhard gold bars still circulate among investors and authorized dealers. Right now, 50 Gram Gold Engelhard Bars are available to purchase online at Silver.com.

Bar Highlights:

  • Ships to you in discreet boxes with protective wrapping materials!
  • Gold cast loaf bars!
  • Consists of 50 Grams, or 1.607 Troy ounces, of .999+ fine gold content.
  • On the obverse side are markings of the company logo, weight, and purity.
  • The reverse field is left blank on purpose.

Each of these 50 Gram Gold Engelhard Bars is available to you with a cast loaf shape and style. Whether you purchase one or several of these bars, all items will ship individually wrapped with protective materials for the shipping process. All gold bars arrive in discreet cardboard boxes.

Engelhard gold bars were produced over the course of several decades from the 1970s until the early 21st century as minted ingots, cast bars, and these poured loaf casts. A loaf cast bar is so-named because of its resemblance to a loaf of bread. Rather than having the sharp, defined rectangular edges of a minted ingot or the flat surfaces of a cast bar, loaf casts have a flat top to the obverse that tapers down to the sides. The reverse is a flat surface with a 90-degree edge. As a result of this production method, you will notice striations in the gold bar on both sides.

On the obverse side of 50 Gram Gold Engelhard Bars, you will find the only markings purposely stamped into the bars. The company logo, consisting of a rectangle with the Engelhard name inside, is featured at the center of the obverse field. Above it, you will find the weight and purity of the gold. Though these bars are listed at 50 Grams, the inscription actually identifies the weight in Troy ounces at 1.607 Troy ounces. It is possible these bars will feature a serial number. If so, it is inscribed beneath the company logo design.

The reverse face of the 50 Gram Gold Bar comes with a blank field. Cast bars are often left with a blank reverse bar, ensuring a more affordable gold piece because production is completed quicker and less effort goes into stamping marks on both sides of the bar.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
