Introduced in 1986, the Gold American Eagle is available in four weights in total. These include 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz gold. The coins are produced in these weights in bullion and proof, with a 1 oz gold coin in the burnished series. The 1 oz Gold Eagle bullion coin is preferred by investors in North America and around the globe.

The obverse of these 1 oz Gold American Eagles includes Lady Liberty. This front-facing design depicts Liberty walking toward the viewer with a large torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. She is encircled by a ring of 50 stars with rays of sunshine emanating from behind her figure.

On the reverse side of the 1 oz Gold American Eagle is a depiction of a family of American bald eagles. In this design from Miley Busiek, a female eagle rests inside of the nest with a young hatchling at its side. Overhead, a male eagle flies with an olive branch clutched in its talons.

These 1 oz Gold American Eagles are packaged inside of MintID certificate cards. The card includes a capsule space for the 1 oz Gold Eagle, as well as an NFC microchip. The microchip creates a unique digital profile for the Gold Eagle that is stored in the cloud. The microchip is AES-128 bit encrypted and, if tampered with, will render a tampered or false reading when using the MintID app to authenticate your purchase.

MintID certificate cards allow you to quickly and easily authenticate your silver and gold bullion. Using the MintID app and the NFC technology in your smartphone, you can press the certificate card against the back of your smartphone and the MintID app will pull up the digital profile for your individual coin. Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase.
