Silver rounds are an ideal means of buying silver because these products tend to deliver impressive design elements and collectability without the higher premiums often associated with silver bullion coins. The Legalized Collection from the Blockchain Mint is a perfect example, pairing unique designs from each state or nation with limited mintage figures. The 1 oz Silver Proof Legalized Collection Colorado Round is now available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Round Highlights:

  • Rounds ship to you inside of a blister card with certificate number!
  • First in a series of designs from the Legalized Collection at Blockchain Mint!
  • Mintage limited to 1,000 rounds only!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
  • The obverse field features a cannabis leaf with chain design around the outer rim.
  • On the reverse side is the state seal of Colorado altered to include cannabis themes.
  • Proof option in the series.

Though it was far from the first state to move toward the legalization of medicinal marijuana and other cannabis products, Colorado was a leader in breaking away from federal regulations to legalize cannabis for a greater swath of its population. In 2012, Colorado voters approved Amendment 64 to legalize cannabis products for recreational use in the state.

The amendment altered the state’s constitution to allow for the legal production, distribution, and possession of cannabis and its byproducts by citizens of the state. In return, the state was able to bring cannabis out of the shadows and provide legal means of distribution that could be taxed to the benefit of the state’s coffers.

On the reverse side of 1 oz Silver Proof Legalized Collection Colorado Rounds is a depiction of the state seal of Colorado. Several elements have been changed to fit the Legalized Collection theme, with the crossed hammer and pick ax below the mountains on the shield replaced by a cannabis leaf. While the words “State of Colorado” remain on the outer rocker, the date of statehood in 1876 is replaced by “2012,” marking the year in which Amendment 64 was approved by voters.

The obverse of the 1 oz Silver Proof Legalized Collection Rounds includes a common design element used on all rounds in this series. You’ll find a large cannabis leaf in the center that has hands which are handcuffed. The handcuffs, combined with the outer design element of a chain, symbolizes the efforts of the federal government to prevent the legalization and use of cannabis.

These 1 oz Silver Proof Legalized Collection Colorado Rounds are available to you with protective blister cards that include a unique serial number. Each one has matte design elements combined with mirrored backgrounds for a beautiful proof finish.
