Each of the 10 oz Silver Great Britain The Great Engravers Collection Una and the Lion Bars listed here at Silver.com comes to you in new condition from the mint. The Royal Mint of England offers these bars with individual plastic sleeves. These are the first-ever bullion bars issued by the Royal Mint with the designs from the Great Engravers Collection.

William Wyon worked for the Royal Mint throughout the reign of four different English monarchs. He came to the Royal Mint as an engraver in 1816 during the reign of King George III and served until his death during the reign of Queen Victoria. He created designs for a total of four monarchs, but it was his works for Victoria that etched his name in the record books for the Royal Mint. Chief among those designs was the Una and the Lion interpretation of Queen Victoria.

The obverse of the 10 oz Great Britain The Great Engravers Collection Una and the Lion Bars features the effigy of Queen Victoria as Una from the tale of Una and the Lion. Reimagined here by Jody Clark, this design features Queen Victoria in left-profile relief as she holds the scepter and globe orb of the monarch. At her side, the faithful lion sits in left-profile relief as well. The hair of the Queen and the mane of the lion blow from right to left in the design with the wind at their backs.

On the reverse side of 10 oz Silver The Great Engravers Collection Una and the Lion Bars is a depiction of the seal of the Royal Mint. The logo of the mint is based on the Royal Arms of England and includes its crowned, quartered shield. That shield comes with the coat of arms for the nations of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
