Designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907, the $20 Gold Double Eagle design is celebrated for its exceptional beauty and historical significance in American coinage. This design remained in use until 1933 and was later revived by the US Mint in 1986 for modern bullion coins.

The year 1924 witnessed one of the highest mintages for the $20 Gold Double Eagle, with a total of 10,300,500 coins minted. This period marked the vibrant era of the Roaring Twenties, with the American economy rebounding after World War I and international trade flourishing. The Philadelphia Mint led in production, followed by the Denver Mint (3.049 million) and the San Francisco Mint (2.927 million).

The obverse of the 1924 Gold $20 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle features the iconic image of Lady Liberty. She stands proudly in a front-facing pose, with the U.S. Capitol Building at her feet, sun rays in the background, and a circle of stars framing her.

On the reverse side, you’ll find a graceful bald eagle in flight, symbolizing the spirit of freedom. The eagle soars gracefully against the backdrop of a rising sun along the bottom edge of the design.

These 1924 Gold $20 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle Coins are available in Mint State 65 condition, displaying a captivating luster with minimal contact marks. Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
