Scottsdale Mint’s line of Silver Stacker Rounds is impressive in that rounds across different weights can be stacked together with ease. How is this accomplished? All three silver rounds in the series, ranging from the 2 oz Silver Scottsdale Stacker Round to the 5 oz weight, have the same dimensions, just different depths.
This is achieved with the use of convex and concave field designs. Each round’s reverse has a concave display field that allows the obverse design set from another round to fit neatly inside for easy stacking.
On the obverse of the 2 oz Silver Scottsdale Stacker Round is the image of the mint logo. In this seal, a massive male lion’s head is featured wearing a crown. This side of the round has a 3D display field that leaps up from the round’s surface.
The reverse face of the Silver Stacker Round has a concave design field featuring the same image, that of the Scottsdale Mint’s lion-head logo. Additionally, this side has engravings that read “2 Troy Oz 999 Fine Silver Scottsdale Mint” and “2 Troy Oz 999 Fine Silver Stacker Round.
Both sides of these rounds feature a radial line design that runs around the outer edge on the obverse and reverse surface. These lines alternate between raised and lowered, allowing you to easily stack your rounds with an interlocking design that provides stability as well.
Scottsdale Mint is located in the Phoenix suburb of Scottsdale, Arizona. The mint is a private facility that prides itself on environmental responsibility, sourcing much of its silver from recycled materials in other industries.
