The Royal Mint introduced its Queen’s Beast Series in 2016. The 10-coin collection offers designs of each of the heraldic beasts supported today by Queen Elizabeth II. This history of these beasts stretches all the way back to 1198 and the reign of King Richard I. Throughout the series, several coin types and weights were issued. One of the standard-bearers was the 2 oz silver bullion coin. Today, 2 oz Silver British Queen’s Beast Coins are available to you online at Silver.com.

The 10 heraldic beasts depicted in the Queen’s Beast Series were not chosen at random. When Queen Elizabeth II arrived at Westminster Abbey for her official coronation ceremony in 1953, 10 heraldic beasts were near the doors in the form of wooden sculptures. These beasts ranged from the early Plantagenet monarchs to the Tudor Dynasty and the House of Hanover.

All of these 2 oz Silver British Queen’s Beast Coins are offered to you in varied conditions from random years. The coins may be in new or like-new condition, or could showcase a range of flaws and possible minting issues. There are 10 available designs in this series and date marks that range from 2016 to 2021.

Please keep in mind that Silver.com does not guarantee the design, date, or condition in advance. All coins are chosen at random after your payment has been processed. As such, we can only select from our available inventory at that point in time. If you buy multiples, you may receive coins with the same dates, designs, and conditions.

On the obverse of 2 oz Silver Queen’s Beast Coins, you will find a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Set in right-profile relief, Her Majesty is shown here at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.

The reverse side of the 2 oz Silver British Queen’s Beast Coins comes with a depiction of heraldic beasts. The series offered a single design in 2016, two each from 2017 to 2020, and one final design in 2021. The images range from the Lion of England, Red Dragon of Wales, and the Unicorn of Scotland to the Black Bull of Clarence, White Horse of Hanover, and the White Greyhound of Richmond.
