Each of the 2 oz Silver Monarch Sunflower Skulls in this product listing comes with truly distinct packaging. Monarch Precious Metals created custom wooden display boxes in the shape of a skull to appropriately house these unique bars. Further, Monarch offers the Sunflower Skulls with an individual serial number on the bar and a .999 fine silver Certificate of Authenticity that has the same serial number etched onto its surface.
The Sunflower Skull Gilded Bar available in this listing has ornate design elements, the most prominent of which are the sunflowers located on the top of the skull. All of the design elements on the skull have a gilded layer of 24-karat gold to accentuate these elements on the silver bar.
Sugar skulls, which these bars reflect in design, are a prominent part of the life-affirming celebration known as Dia de los Muertos. Known as Day of the Dead in English, the two-day celebration in Mexico and Central America brings families together as they celebrate the lives and memories of those they’ve lost.
On the primary design elements of the 2 oz Silver Monarch Sunflower Skulls is the poured visual of a human skull with a grin on its face and eye cavities filled with the design of a sunflower. Flip the bars over and you’ll find a flat surface. This side includes the Monarch Precious Metals logo, the phrase “Limited Edition,” the unique serial number of the bar out of the run of 999 bars in total, and the weight, purity, and metal content of the specimen.
Monarch Precious Metals is a private refinery in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon. Opened in 2008, all of its gold and silver bars for sale are hand-poured and feature minimum purity levels of .999 fineness.
