Chickasaw National Recreation Area covers the southern portion of Oklahoma that consists of 9,899 acres of land in Murray County. Travertine Creek is the central focal point of the park, which was originally established as Sulphur Springs Reservation in 1902. The park is an excellent example of the success of the Civilian Conservation Corps’ architecture during the 1930s.

America the Beautiful is a 56-coin series celebrating various moments and monuments with significance in American history. The program is slated to run through 2021, unveiling five new coins each year. In the end, all 50 US states will be represented, as well as the nation’s five overseas territories and the District of Columbia.

On the reverse side of the coin is the image of Travertine Creek as its rolls slowly under a stone-arch bridge. Engravings include “Oklahoma,” “Chickasaw,” and “E Pluribus Unum.” The obverse side bears the standard quarter imagery of President George Washington’s left-profile portrait.

Each of the coins in this listing has a near-perfect grade as issued by the PCGS. These coins still have their full, original luster, and bear no more than two blemishes, contact marks, or detracting flaws. The proof-like finish of these bullion coins creates a unique appearance.

The United States Mint struck these coins at the Philadelphia Mint and San Francisco Mint. If you have questions for a associate about these coins, please feel free to contact us at 888-989-7223.
