A traditional proof coin has been available in the Silver Mexican Libertad Series since 2002 in the 1 Kilo weight. That coin has a frosted design element that contrasts with a mirrored background field. It wasn’t until 2008 that a 1 Kilo bullion version of the coin was made available in this weight, and now, there is also a reverse proof option for the 1 Kilo Silver Libertad.

1 Kilo Silver Mexican Libertads are available through this listing with a reverse proof visual. This flips the traditional proof visuals to include mirrored design elements over frosted fields. The effect still helps create a strong visual contrast between the two fields, it simply does so with different visual effect.

On the obverse side of 2017 Silver Mexican Libertads is the depiction of Winged Victory. Her figure is based on the goddess Victoria who was honored and celebrated by ancient generals after victories in warfare. A statue of her figure was created in 1910 by the authority of the Mexican government to mark the start of the war of independence with Spain. In 1921, the statue was placed atop the newly-built Mexican Independence Victory Column to mark 100 years of independence.

The reverse face of the 2017 1 Kilo Silver Mexican Libertads, you will find the modern Mexican coat of arms in the center. The largest of the designs on this side, the modern symbol features a powerful golden eagle battling against a serpent from the arm of a cactus. There is a cactus wreath below the seal and the words “Estados Unidos Mexicanos” above. Around the outer edge of the design field, 10 historic versions of the same seal appear.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?
