The newest coin in the American Eagle series from the United States Mint is the Palladium American Eagle. Joining together with the Silver Eagle, Gold Eagle, and Platinum Eagle from the mint, the Palladium Eagle completes the series by offering a major bullion option in all four metals now from the US Mint. The 2017 1 oz Palladium American Eagle Coin is available to you now online for purchase at Silver.com with a perfect certification!

Coin Highlights:

  • Ships to you sealed in a plastic slab from the NGC!
  • First issue in the Palladium Eagle Series from the US Mint!
  • Availability of certified coins is limited!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .9995 fine palladium.
  • Issued a face value of $25 (USD) by the United States.
  • Bears a Grade of Mint State 70 from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.
  • Early Release coin.
  • Obverse features the Mercury Dime design from Adolph A. Weinman in 1916.
  • Reverse bears a depiction of the bald eagle also created by Weinman.

Under Public Law 111-303, the Secretary of the Treasury is required to mint and issue palladium bullion coins from the United States Mint on an annual basis. The coins debuted with the bullion issue in 2017, and the US Mint has authorization to strike a proof coin along with an uncirculated coin for collectors as well. The US Mint plans a 2018 release for Proof Palladium Eagles.

All Palladium American Eagle Coins follow in the tradition of the American Eagle Series. The coins feature the same obverse and reverse design every year. However, the images of Liberty and the bald eagle will differ from those on the other American Eagle coins, which of course all use their own depictions of Liberty and the eagle for uniqueness in the series.

The obverse of all 2017 1 oz Palladium American Eagle Coins includes the design from the 1916 issue of the Mercury Dime. The debut year for that coin, Weinman created a left-profile portrait of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap reminiscent of the Roman messenger god Mercury. Included engravings read “Liberty,” “In God We Trust,” “2017,” and “AW” for Weinman.

On the reverse of the 2017 Palladium American Eagle is another design from Weinman. This one was created for an American Institute of Architects gold medal issued in 1907. Weinman is the only artist in the American Eagle Series to have his designs feature on both faces of the coin.

Your 2017 1 oz Palladium American Eagle in this listing is a perfect specimen according to the NGC. An MS70 coin has full, original mint luster and lacks all detracting flaws. Coins labeled Early Release were received for certification within the first 30 days of their 2017 release by the United States Mint.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
