The obverse of 2018 1 oz Silver Australian Dog Coin bears an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. England’s longest-reigning monarch, Her Majesty has featured on British and commonwealth coinage since 1953. This is the Queen’s fourth-generation portrait and it emanated from the Royal Mint in England in 1998, with Ian Rank-Broadley designing.
On the reverse of these 2018 Silver Australian Dog Coins is the image of two German shepherds, one adult and one younger puppy. The younger pup lays on the ground in front of the adult, both dogs holding their heads up high and ears perked as they examine their surroundings.
