Silver Somalia Elephant Coins have undergone a tremendous evolution in recent years. The 2016 issue of the coins brought an increase to .9999 fine silver content each year, while the 2017 release of the coins meant the introduction of fractional silver coins in the bullion range. Prior to those changes, the Silver Elephant Coins were available in various versions.

Proof colorized coins are popular in the Day-Night range in this series, as are gilded bullion coins and high-relief proof specimens. Also introduced in recent years were privy mark coins with lunar-themed designs. Each year’s Silver Somalia Elephant has been available in the 2010s with a Zodiac-inspired animal privy mark.

On the reverse of the 2018 1 oz Silver Somalia Elephant Dog Privy Coin is the design of the African elephant. This one-time design features the face of an African elephant as the trunk is lifted overhead and almost appears to come right at the viewer. The long tusks of the elephant are also prominent in the design.

This side of the coin also features the unique Year of the Dog privy mark for 2018. This year’s version includes a German shepherd’s head in a small circle along the outer region on the left side of the design field.

For the obverse of 2018 1 oz Silver Somalia Elephant coins, the Bavarian State Mint continues to feature the coat of arms for Somalia. The design includes a crowned shield with a single star on a background field of horizontal lines. The shield is supported on either side by a leopard and the national name, date marks, and face value of the coin are all inscribed on this side as well.

2018 1 oz Silver Somalia Elephant Dog Privy Coins are available inside of individual protective capsules. The coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come with a lower mintage cap this year set at just 10,000 coins.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment.
