The Lunar Series II collection debuted from the Perth Mint in Australia in 2008. The collection followed a popular 12-coin release that launched in 1996 and concluded in 2007. The coins in the Lunar Series II collection have distinct designs that include separate images for the silver and gold bullion versions of the coin, as well as a new image for the Baby Lunar Coins.

Issued as 1/2 oz Proof Colorized Silver Coins, the 2019 Baby Pig Coins have matte finishes on the primary design elements on both sides that contrast beautifully with the mirrored background fields. The image of the piglet on the reverse is colorized with real-life hues to bring a new look to the Lunar Series II coins.

On the reverse of 2019 1/2 oz Proof Colorized Silver Australian Baby Pig Coins is the image of a lone piglet. The little piglet is accompanied by engravings of “Year of the Pig” and “2019 1/2 oz 9999 Silver.” Included on this side is the Chinese symbol for a pig.

The obverse of 2019 1/2 oz Silver Australian Baby Pig Coins features the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fourth-generation design from British coinage and was created for the Royal Mint of England in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley.

These 2019 1/2 oz Proof Colorized Silver Australian Baby Pig Coins are currently available to you from the Perth Mint inside of a black clamshell. The coin and clamshell are packaged inside of a Lunar Series II Baby Pig shipper case and come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
