The Chiwoo Cheonwangs have a very unique value assigned by KOMSCO. Rather than using the fiat currency of the Republic of Korea, KOMSCO assigns value to the silver and gold medals in the Chiwoo Cheonwang Series based on an ancient concept that attaches value to an amount of land. Known as a Clay, the value is based on units of land. These silver medals have a 1/2 Clay value.

All of the 2019 1/2 oz Silver South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwangs in this product listing are available to you brand-new from KOMSCO. The medals are packaged individually inside of protective plastic flips and ship in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 1/2 oz silver medal in the series is the smallest weight available.

The shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang features on the obverse of the 2019 Silver South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwangs. The design here includes the battle shield that Chiwoo carries into the fight. It features the grotesque face of Do ggae bi and has a latent security image engraved on this face just below the shield. Other markings include the nation of issue, date of issue, weight, purity, and metal content.

Chiwoo Cheonwang is depicted on the reverse 2019 1/2 oz Silver South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwangs. This year’s design is exclusive for 2019 and depicts Chiwoo as he surveys the landscape after another victory for his forces. Chiwoo stands with his shield at his right side and his sword in his left hand as it rests on its tip. His name is the only inscription on this face.

Other weights available in the Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang range now include 1 oz silver, 2 oz silver, and 10 oz silver in addition to these beautiful 1/2 oz silver medals.
