The Perth Mint issues mintage caps on only the largest and/or most popular coins in the Lunar Series II collection. For example, only the 1 oz Gold Australian Pig coin available in 2019 has a mintage cap among the gold bullion coins. The 2019 1 oz Silver Australian Pig Coin has a mintage cap of 300,000 coins, and only the 10 Kilogram coin has a mintage cap as well which is set at 100 coins.
All of these 2019 1 oz Silver Australian Pig Coins come to you in protective packaging. Individual coins are available to you inside of protective capsules, while multiples are available in either rolls of 20 coins or boxes of 100 coins. All of the coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
The reverse of the 2019 1 oz Silver Australian Pig coin features the final design in the collection. The new Year of the Pig imagery includes a total of five pigs in the design. The background field is dominated by a large adult pig, while a group of four piglets romps around in the foreground of the design field. “Year of the Pig” and the Chinese symbol for pig are found on this side as well.
On the obverse of 2019 Silver Australian Pig coins is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty features here in the fourth-generation design, with only the 2019 Lunar Series II coins continuing its use in 2019 as other Perth Mint coins transition to the new Jody Clark effigy of the Queen. This is to maintain the continuity of design for the series.
