The Silver Chinese Panda is among the most coveted silver bullion coins in the world. Issued every year by the Chinese Mint, the Silver Panda bears the same reverse design each year coupled with a new design of the Giant Panda species on the obverse. Right now, 2019 30 Gram Silver Chinese Panda Day and Night Two-Coin Sets are available to purchase online at Silver.com with colorized finishes and low mintage figures.

Coin Set Highlights:

  • Ships to you inside of a protective two-coin box with a Certificate of Authenticity!
  • Day-and-Night colorized coins!
  • Mintage limited to 500 coin sets only!
  • Consists of 60 Grams, or 1.929 Troy ounces, of .999 fine silver in BU condition.
  • Bears a total face value of ¥20 (Yuan) backed by the government of the People’s Republic of China.
  • On the obverse side are two different colorized versions of the Giant Panda design for 2019.
  • The reverse design includes the traditional Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests.

Each of the 2019 30 Gram Silver Chinese Panda Day and Night Two-Coin Sets available here features two separate 30 Gram coins in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. This set features two coins from the 2019 Silver Chinese Panda release with colorized lacquer applied to the obverse design fields.

The application of a colorized lacquer does nothing to alter the metal purity of the coins and does not detract from their investment quality. The colorized lacquer does, however, add a sense of collectability by creating distinctly different visuals for the 2019 Panda designs in a day setting and a contrasting night setting.

For the obverse side of the Silver Chinese Panda Day coin, colorized layers are applied that include the black-and-white fur of the Giant Panda and bright, daytime tones that bring the scene to life vividly. The obverse of the Silver Chinese Panda Night coin includes the same colors for the pandas, but the background colors are muted to depict a nighttime scene.

On the obverse of both coins in the 2019 30 Gram Silver Chinese Panda Day and Night collection is the image of an adult panda cradling its young cub in its arms. Engravings include the face value, weight, purity, and metal content of the coin.

The reverse of all 2019 30 Gram Silver Chinese Panda Coins in this Day and Night Set feature the image of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This building is found within the greater Temple of Heaven Complex, one of four such complexes in Beijing.

All colorized coins in this two-coin set originated at the Chinese Mint as standard silver bullion coins, but were later colorized by an authorized third party for a limited release.
