Gold American Eagles were introduced in 2006 by the United States Mint during the 20^th-anniversary celebration of the American Eagle Series. The burnished version of American Eagle coin is available only in the silver and gold options, with both suspended in 2009 and 2010 as the US Mint redirected its available bullion blanks to meeting the demand for investment-grade versions of both coins.

The Burnished Gold Eagle was initially available in the four weights you will find in the bullion and proof versions. However, the 2009-2010 suspension of the coin resulted in the end of the fractional-ounce options. When the series returned in 2011, only the 1 oz gold coin was available. The highest mintage since the suspension was 2011 when 8,729 coins were produced.

The obverse of the 2020-W 1 oz Burnished Gold American Eagle comes with a vision of Lady Liberty. Created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, Liberty walks toward the viewer as a symbol of her guidance for the nation. She carries a large torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand. Behind her, rays of sunshine emerge from the horizon and the US Capitol Building is depicted at her feet.

On the reverse of 2020 1 oz Burnished Gold American Eagles is a depiction of American bald eagles. In this design, you notice a male eagle flying over the nest as a female and hatchling rest within the nest.

These 2020-W 1 oz Burnished Gold American Eagles are available in perfect condition with an SP70 certification. This grade indicates the coins showcase full, original mint luster and have no detracting flaws present. Please be aware that additional labels such as First Strike and First Day of Issue are available, but we cannot guarantee you receive a coin with these labels. If you buy more than one, you could receive several coins with matching additional labels.

All Orders are fully insured by Silver.com from the time of carrier pickup to the time of finaly delivery, defined as a signature or delivery confirmation from the carrier. Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment.
