The Perth Mint has introduced new security features on its gold bullion Lunar Series III coins. This micro-engraved letter is hidden within the reverse field and visible only under a magnifying glass.

On the obverse of 2020 Gold Australian Lunar Mouse Coins is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty features here in right-profile relief in a design created by Jody Clark as the sixth-generation portrait for Australian coins. This design includes the Queen wearing the Royal Diadem crown, earrings, and the Victorian coronation necklace. With her neckline and shoulders visible in the portrait, this design is the first on an Australian coin since 1966 to includes these physical features.
The reverse of 2020 1 oz Gold Australian Lunar Mouse Coins features a new Year of the Mouse design. Created by Ing Ing Jong, this is the third Year of the Mouse design in the Perth Mint’s lunar collection. It depicts a mouse amidst various wheat stalks as it reaches up one of the stalks with its front paws.
