There are numerous silver coins for sale around the world, but few of them are as popular as the Silver Austrian Philharmonic coins. Launched in 2008 by the Austrian Mint, this series builds on the already available Gold Philharmonic coins and quickly became the best-selling 1 oz silver coin in Europe. You can now purchase the 2020 1 oz Silver Austrian Philharmonics online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coin ships in a plastic flip, a tube of 20 coins, or a Monster Box of 500 coins!
  • 13th date mark in the Silver Austrian Philharmonic series!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .999 fine silver in BU condition.
  • Issued a face value of 1.50 (Euro) by Austria.
  • The obverse of the coin includes the Great Organ from the Musikverein.
  • On the reverse is a collection of eight musical instruments.

Silver Austrian Philharmonics represent the first metallic expansion of the Austrian Philharmonic bullion coins after the 1989 introduction of the gold coins. After the 2008 introduction of the silver bullion version of the coin, the Austrian Philharmonic would gain a third metallic version in 2016 with the introduction of a platinum bullion version of the coin.

The Silver Philharmonic gained popularity among investors very quickly after its introduction. The beautiful designs on the obverse and reverse were already known to investors through the gold bullion collection, helping the Silver Philharmonic power to an introductory sales figure of 7.773 million coins in 2008. By 2011, the coin had soared to a total mintage of 17.873 million coins. That remains the highest mintage figure in the series to date.

The obverse side of 2020 1 oz Silver Austrian Philharmonic Coins includes a design of the Great Organ, the central musical instrument of the Musikverein. Also known as the Golden Concert Hall, the Musikverein is the official home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in the city of Vienna.

On the reverse face of 2020 Silver Austrian Philharmonic Coin is the image of musical instruments, many of which are commonly used by the members of the orchestra. This includes a cello, four violins, a bassoon, a harp, and a French horn.

These 2020 1 oz Silver Austrian Philharmonic Coins can be purchased individually inside of protective plastic flips or in bulk. The bulk options include mint tubes of 20 coins and Monster Boxes of 500 coins. The Monster Box contains a total of 25 tubes of 20 coins.
