The Silver Chiwoo Cheonwangs from KOMSCO represent a popular series of silver for sale. The collection from the Republic of Korea is available with a new reverse design each year, and now in 2020, it features an alteration to the obverse design element for the first time since it debuted in 2016. Now, 2020 1 oz Silver South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwangs are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

  • Mintage limited to 33,000 medals only!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .999 fine silver in BU condition.
  • On the obverse side is a new design of Do ggae bi on the shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang.
  • The reverse features a depiction of Chiwoo Cheonwang approaching the Hell Gate.

KOMSCO introduced the Chiwoo Cheonwang medals in 2016. That year featured 1 oz silver, 1 oz gold, and 1/10 oz gold options for investors. The series featured an image of the guardian of peace and God of War, Chiwoo Cheonwang. Since that time, the reverse depiction of Chiwoo Cheonwang has changed with each release. However, the obverse side has never changed. Until now.

Through the first four issues of the Silver South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medal Series, the image of Do ggae bi on the obverse of all medals was more reserved, though still grotesque. With the release of the fifth version of the Chiwoo Cheonwangs, the image of Do ggae bi shown comes from a piece owned by the Gyeongju National Museum of the Republic of Korea.

On the obverse of the 2020 1 oz Silver South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medal is a depiction of Do ggae bi on the shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang. This design is new for the 2020 release and features a grinning version of the hideous beast. The new depiction includes enhanced visuals on his eyebrows, nostrils, and teeth. You will also notice there are now bull’s horns on the top of Do ggae bi’s head.

The reverse face of 2020 Silver South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals now includes a depiction of Chiwoo Cheonwang ready to fight the next war. Having defeated his mortal enemies, Chiwoo Cheonwang faces an attack on his empire from the forces of evil in the immortal world as the Hell Gate has appeared within his kingdom. With the 12 Guardians by his side, Chiwoo Cheonwang is prepared to square off with evil and keep the mortal world safe.

These 2020 1 oz Silver South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals are available to purchase individually or in multiples. All medals are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, with individual medals housed in protective plastic flips. Multiples are packaged inside of mint tubes of 25 or sealed boxes of 250 medals.
