While local tradition suggests the Brumbies came from horses released into the wild on purpose by James Brumby, a soldier and pastor ordered to move from Sydney to Van Diemen’s Land in 1801, the reality is that the modern population consists of various breeds. The modern population is estimated around 400,000 wild horses, with breeds that contributed to the feral population varying and coming from both Brumby’s initial release and other lost or escaped horses of early European settlers to Australia.

The obverse side of the 2020 2 oz Proof Silver Australian Brumby Coin features a right-profile bust of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown in the popular sixth-generation effigy originally created by Jody Clark in 2015 for the Royal Mint of England. Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase.
